Snowflake Challenge Day 1 & Day 2

Day 01
In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge? What drew you to it as a participant? What do you hope to accomplish by doing these challenges? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I do as much of the Snowflake Challenge as I have time for each year, because I like the meta aspect of it. It makes me think about my fannish life: what it entails, what it might be lacking, or what I am grateful for. I usually am busy in January work-wise, so I can't do every day, but it is fun to add as much as I can to my regular posting for the month.
Day 02
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
I'm pretty content fannishly, but let's see what some brainstorming brings up:
1) Comment on the next fanfic/fanart you enjoy. It doesn't have to be mine, but let a writer or artist know what you liked and why. We all live for comments and the ego boost that comes from knowing our stuff is loved by *someone*.
2) Music recommendations. I pretend that I watch TV and movies, but in reality, I mostly listen to music. My listening pleasures are widely varied, I just don't enjoy most Hip-Hop. I particularly like alternative, punk, rock, pop, blues.
3) Crossovers for my fandoms, either fanfic or fanart. You never know, your fanart might inspire me to write the story! I *adore* crossovers, particularly crossover pairings. My fandoms are here (as well as my own crossover stories):
