Day 15
In your own space, talk about what you're taking away from this challenge. Did you learn something? Did you interact with new people? Or did you try out different fandoms or formats or relationships? What's changed between Day 1 and Day 15 of this challenge? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I wouldn't say I learned anything new, but I did make some new friends, interacted with some other new people, and marveled again at how diverse fandom is. I was pleased to participate in so many of the days this year. usually work is a bear and I have to quit at Day 04 or thereabouts. Participating for the full 15 Days definitely made a difference in how much the challenge affected me. It kind of renewed my faith in journaling as a platform for fandom interaction, and my love for it.
It's kind of funny, but since I had finally seen Star Wars (finally) which included the trailer for Civil War during this same period, I no longer had to avoid Tumblr, but I found I hadn't missed Tumblr at all, and was reluctant to go back. I finally did, but I've been hit or miss about it, and find I am interested in less of the content than I had been. Pretty pictures are still pretty, but that's about it for my feelings for Tumblr. Dw/LJ, on the other hand, has been so much fun that it was a stark contrast. I know people will drop off after the challenge, but I am hoping a couple more than usual stick around and join in the fun long-term.
